Our history

Situated in the splendid setting of Piazza del Campo, theatre of the Siena's Palio, "Alla Speranza" is an historical landmark of the city.
The restoration carried out in 1998, was fully in keeping with its original architectural style: retaining the arch structure, using the original bricks, and the wooden beams, make it a warm and pleasant place, suitable for every occasion and event.

Our structure is of two wide halls, one is the restaurant which seats up to 65 people, the other retains the atmoshere of a medaeval rustic hall, in perfect tuscan style, and this can accommodate up to 50 people and is a perfect choice for private functions from Family gatherings to Conference events.
Outside, the terrace can accommodate up to 150 people, and it, without doubt, provides the perfect perspective to enjoy the wonderful scenery of Piazza del Campo. The "Palazzo Pubblico" and the "Torre del Mangia" become a living painting to admire during a romantic dinner or a business lunch.

We are proud to be included in the 2006 "historical restaurants" list from the Town Hall of Siena and from the Region of Tuscany, which is a tribute to our having always kept alive the original identity of the restarant as witness to the history and tradition of the City.
